This job was a challenging turn key project beginning mid 2019.

The Altona site had a timber cross flow tower which was under performing and had access issues. The top section was not safe to walk around, access to the hot water basins were difficult and all of the timber infills were collapsing inside the basin.

We designed a new system with three AT cooling towers from Evapco.

Vesta’s engagement consisted of demolition and removal of the old timber tower, preparation of the concrete basin with structural I-Beams bolted to the top of the existing basin, Vesta conducted the assembly of the new towers, supervised the crane lift of the towers into position and bolted them to the new support beams.

Brand new external  platforms & ladders were designed and installed by Vesta, for safe access to the basins as well as the motor and access doors for safe, easy maintenance.

The remaining exposed portions of the concrete basin were covered by Colourbond.

Vesta designed and organised a new stainless steel piping system and connected the new towers to the existing header.

All works were completed by our talented Service team and the new towers have been operational for almost a year now.
