Along with the freshly prepared fan shaft, bearings and automatic bearing greasers will be installed on the unit. Vesta will then refill the tower, run & check its operation & return to service, ready to do it all over again for Tower 2!
We’ve hit halfway on the refurbishment works on 2x LSWA58 at Grandview Apartments in Melbourne.
Our team have worked hard, carefully restoring each individual panel and component to extend the life of Tower
In the top (coil) section, the old damaged drift eliminators and clogged nozzles were removed and will be replaced.
In the bottom (Basin) section, we removed and disposed of the old, rusting Fan Wheels, Fan Housings, Fan Snouts, Inlet Rings, Fan Shaft and Bearings. All fan components were sandblasted, ready to coat with a 2-part epoxy, our team coated in 3 layers to create a contrast for early detection of possible failure.
Our team then removed all of the rust from the main basin panels on site before again, adding our 3 layers of coat. All joins in the basin were resealed before the entire basin was recoated.
